Thousands of communities in Indonesia are in dire need of sustainable technologies to address the lack of safe drinking water as well as other impairing environmental problems. Recognizing the need for technical volunteer outreach programs to aid such communities, the YE Water Program was founded in June 2004 as part of Yayasan Emmanuel.
Yayasan Emmanuel (YE) legal status was established in Indonesia December 10, 2001 by Deed of Establishment No. 81 dated July 30, 2001 by Notarial Act and the approval of the Minister of Justice and Human Rights. In June 2004, YE processed an amendment restating of those Articles of Association in order to comply with the new Law of August 6, 2003.
YE Water Program is one of six programs...

The YE Water Program specifically works to raise environmental awareness through public health & hygiene promotion and water & sanitation projects. Projects focus on developing replicable household-scale solutions to progress environmental aid for some of the poorest communities in Indonesia.
